A day out at the bindery

February 8th, 2014 | By Ian and Dominique Metcalfe | Category: Bibles Direct Latest

Yesterday morning we headed around the M25 (London’s orbital motorway) for a visit to our bindery, more or less on the opposite side of London. After a slightly more complicated journey than planned, since we ended up on a significant diversion to avoid a 10-mile tailback caused by flooding on the motorway, we arrived to beautiful sunshine.

The main purpose of our visit was to catch up on the various projects coming up over the next year or so, and to discuss priorities for those – so stay tuned for updates! However, we did also get the chance to see the NLT Bibles and the last of the Longprimer rebind in the process of being bound. Here are a couple of photos of the ribbons you have all seen in finished Bibles, and some 53s all ready to be banded and boxed – more photos to come in the next day or so.
