First printed in 1952, the King James Version Longprimer Bible is a sumptuous, traditional reference setting of the Authorized Version. Developed by Oxford University Press and now published exclusively by R. L. The Longprimer Sovereign edition retains the same clear type as the standard Longprimer but is printed on a 40gsm writable Bible paper with the highest levels of opacity, and increased margins (one inch on outside and bottom edges) to show the text block off to greatest effect and further enhance the reading experience.

This sumptuous red highland goatskin LIMITED EDITION - the third 'special' in the Longprimer Sovereign Royal Palaces series - was created to commemorate the historic Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 before her death. It celebrates Buckingham Palace, the British monarch's official London residence and the focus of national and royal celebrations including the Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.

Bound in our trademark crimson red highland goatskin, leather-lined in a glorious regal purple, this unique Bible also features purple under gold page edges, gold embossing on front and spine and double gold gilt lines inside, three blackberry purple ribbon markers, presentation pages and family record in Allan's new improved design, dictionary of proper names, subject index, concordance, 32 pages of lined writing paper and 16 pages of Oxford Bible maps.
