This sumptuous Highland Goatskin edition of the ESV Single Column Reference Bible with Speckled Edges is bound in the UK using the finest quality natural grain Black Highland goatskin in a full yapp style. It is leather-lined in contrasting claret red with three crimson ribbons, is stamped 'FIRST EDITION' inside the back cover, and has vintage-style speckled page edges in red underlay with blue and pearlescent gold speckles.

Reprinted for 2025, the Allan ESV Single Column Reference Edition is an adaptation of Crossway’s discontinued Single Column Reference typesetting using the ESV 2016 text. It has been exclusively developed and designed by R L Allan and is printed for R L Allan at Jongbloed in the Netherlands.

 

This highly readable single column typesetting uses 10pt font in a verse by verse layout, with each verse starting on a new line, and includes cross references in the inner margin and a 7/8 inch (22mm) blank outer margin. It is fully line-matched and printed on the highest quality PrimaBible 36gsm paper, which offers the optimum balance of opacity and paper thickness. It comes complete with short book introductions, Allan Presentation pages, 32 pages of Crossway’s full colour maps and illustrations and 32 pages of lined notepaper.
